Smart pet tech company Fi has launched the Series 3 Plus, an AI-powered smart collar designed to give dog owners more insight into their pet’s health and behavior—now with full integration into the Apple Watch. The new collar includes enhanced GPS tracking, improved behavioral monitoring, and an updated companion app for on-the-go access. The goal, as noted in theverge.com, is to help owners track meaningful changes in their dog’s behavior, such as sleep, activity, and other habits like barking or scratching.

Fi claims the Series 3 Plus can detect changes in a dog’s behavior with up to 80% accuracy. In addition to common activity tracking, the collar now uses AI to monitor for habits such as licking, eating, drinking and more. It flags trends over time to help users proactively spot potential health issues. However, as with many smart wearables, some users may find the abundance of data overwhelming rather than reassuring.

The new collar also features improved GPS performance, with double the signal sensitivity of its predecessor. Owners can track their dog’s location using the Fi companion app, which now works on Apple Watch with the same interactivity as the mobile version. Fi also introduced an AI document analysis tool that can extract health-related info from vet records, insurance forms, or medical bills.

Beyond the new features, the Series 3 Plus retains many elements from previous models, including a waterproof rating (IP68), a 3-month battery life, and a built-in light for better nighttime visibility. The collar is available in four colors and five sizes, and operates on a $14/month subscription plan that includes full access to the app, with no separate hardware charge.
